Spotted her last week. She was wearing an ankle length, black/white plaid skirt with a high wrap waist, and red patent pumps. Stunning. Forgot my camera. Looked around for her this week hoping for another outfit. She did not disappoint. This time with a delightful accessory.

First Post on Style Pasifika

Ok, so no picture for you to see yet; only a humiliating experience to relay about my FIRST ATTEMPT to take a pic for this blog.
I'm in Walmart. No social commentary plz. I see a lady who was wearing an awesome outfit. I approach her and realize she's a bit younger than I thought but the skinny jeans with hobo purse and matching flip flops was too much to ignore. Had to post her. Explained who I am, what I'm attempting to do, and how her island sense of style would be just perfect for the first post. At this point, I'm realizing that she could be all of 17 years old! Super scared. She says no thanks and I'm mortified. Rejected. Shamed out of my mind. Not because she said no but because of the way she said it. She thought I was a pornographer I'm certain. What is a pornographer you ask? I'm not sure but it has absolutely nothing to do with what this blog is about!!!! So I call my friend while running with shopping cart in tow to the opposite side of the store. I'm crying through the laughter hoping that a sketch of me doesn't show up on the evening news. Like a true friend, she talks me through this until I am in the safety of my car and on the freeway toward home. Welcome to Style Pasifika.
